This unit of commando droid was used by the Separatist Senate as bodyguards during the Clone Wars. They were seen mostly when Republic and Separatist senators tried to make peace between the two fractions. A few of these droids were programmed to only obey the senators they were protecting and would attack other battle droids for their senators, while others were programmed to only obey Count Dooku and would kill their senators if ordered to do so.
