Droid History[edit | edit source]

While working for the Resistance, BB-8 was trusted by Poe to carry the part of the map used to track down the missing Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker before the village they were at was ambushed by the First Order, who captured Poe and killed any Resistance allied villagers. BB-8 then when on to meeting The young Jakku Scavenger Rey after he was captured by another smuggler, Teebo. BB-8 would later on also meet FN-2187, a First Order Stormtrooper who defected from the Order and took the name Finn. After a short encounter with more aggressive smugglers and two First Order TIE Fighters, the three managed to steal an old Cornelian Cruiser, unknown to them as the Millennium Falcon. Ironically, the three would later be boarded by the owners of the ship, Han Solo and his Wookie sidekick, Chewbacca, who would later help BB-8 and his friends by

getting them safely to the planet Takondana. The group would later be attacked and captured by the First Order, who tracked them down to the planet. But, before they were taken hostage, Resistance fighters arrived to rescue them by chasing off the First Order. Once BB-8 and the others were taken to the secret First Order weapon called Starkiller, a planet that was transformed into a weapon by the Order and had the power to destroy entire star systems. While Finn, Solo and Chewbacca went to the planet to rescue a captured Rey, BB-8 rejoined his former master, Poe Dameron and attacked Starkiller Base with the rest of the Resistance fleet.

BB-8 takes part in the Battle for Starkiller Base via Poe Dameron's T-70 X-Wing, Black Wing

During the Battle, BB-8 mostly did repairs on Poe's custom T-70 X-Wing, The Black Wing, and would, by that, help destroy Starkiller Base. After the base's destruction, BB-8 accompanied Rey and Chewbacca on their quest to find Luke Skywalker.
